 NEW DELHI: Addressing the high-profile open session on the second day of the 18th BRICS Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the severe risks confronting the modern world order. PM Modi cautioned that the weaponisation of cutting-edge technology and critical minerals could aggressively stall the collective economic growth of developing nations, calling for complete inclusivity in digital adoption.

To foster deeper structural collaboration, the Prime Minister introduced multiple landmark initiatives designed to empower market integration:

• BRICS Logistic Supply Chain Cooperation Framework:Curated to reinforce regional trade networks against global disruptions and uncertainties.

• BRICS Startup Innovation Fund: A dedicated multi-national financial pool pitched to accelerate scalable business solutions and connect incubation hubs worldwide.

• Digital Agriculture Network: An advanced tech ecosystem deploying AI, geospatial assets, and Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) tailored specifically for rural farming needs.

Modi emphasized that the growing influence of the BRICS alliance is deeply rooted in its commitment to the Global South. He noted that developing countries trust the platform because their sovereign experiences are respected, and global policies are structured “with them, not just for them.”
