Rajasthan Civic Poll Results 2026: BJP Dominates Jaipur Wards, Congress Alleges Discrepancies as Counting Continues
JAIPUR (RAJASTHAN): The political landscape of Rajasthan witnessed intense action on Monday as the official counting for the 2026 Urban Local Body elections commenced. In the early trends and finalized results, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has successfully established a commanding lead over its rivals in the crucial Jaipur Municipal Corporation elections. Out of the 150 total contested wards in the state capital, the results for 108 wards have been formally declared. Gurjar comfortably defeated his immediate BJP rival by a massive margin of approximately 1,700 to 1,800 votes.
Addressing his cheering supporters, Gurjar called the victory a direct win for the ordinary citizens. “Even though the Chief Minister comes from this prestigious region and is like a brother to us, Sanganer has historically lagged behind in proper infrastructure and public planning.
