CBI Registers Fresh FIR in Disha Salian Death Case Following Bombay High Court Directive

NEW DELHI: In a major development in the investigation surrounding the high-profile death cases connected to Bollywood, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday formally registered a First Information Report (FIR) into the death of Disha Salian. Salian was the former talent manager of the late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. This central action comes directly after strict orders from the Bombay High Court demanding a comprehensive and deep probe into the matter.

Disha Salian was tragically found dead on June 8, 2020, just a few days before Sushant Singh Rajput was discovered deceased in his Bandra apartment. For over five years, the local Mumbai police had treated the case merely as an Accidental Death Report (ADR). However, a Division Bench comprising Justice Bharti Dangre and Justice Manjusha Deshpande recently raised heavy concerns over why a standard FIR was never registered despite the family’s persistent allegations that she was murdered.

The case has gained intense momentum after the victim’s father, Satish Salian, actively shared crucial information with the central investigators. In a statement, he confirmed that he has submitted specific names—including high-profile individuals such as Aditya, actor Sooraj Pancholi, Dino Morea, and certain bodyguards—urging the authorities to examine their involvement. The Salian family expressed strong faith that justice will finally be delivered after a long legal battle. Welcoming the development, Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, also shared a emotional note on social media, asserting that truth can be suppressed but never defeated.
