 LOS ANGELES: Hollywood actor Alan Ritchson, widely known for his leading role in Amazon Prime’s smash-hit series Reacher, has announced the end of his 20-year marriage to his wife, Catherine “Cat” Ritchson. The couple shared the news via a heartfelt joint statement on Instagram, revealing they will transition into a new phase of their relationship.

“After twenty years together, Cat and I have decided to end our marriage and continue alongside one another in a different way,” the statement read. Reflecting on their journey, they added that nothing could diminish the love and respect they share, or what their time together has meant. Given the intense public eye, the couple politely requested privacy and compassion for their family as they transition into this new chapter.

Commitment to Strong Co-Parenting

The high-school sweethearts—who first met as teenagers in a Florida ballet class—emphasized that their primary focus remains the well-being of their three sons: Calem, Edan, and Amory. They expressed a unified commitment to becoming the strongest co-parents possible through friendship and grace.

Legal reports reveal that Ritchson initially filed for divorce in December 2025 citing irreconcilable differences. Despite a brief attempt at reconciliation in March 2026, the pair ultimately chose to split permanently. Professionally, Ritchson remains highly active, with Reacher Season 4 currently airing its final episodes and production already underway for Season 5.
